Medal ceremony, 5 September 2015

Saturday saw the culmination of six week's worth of dedicated reading as the summer reading challenge came to an end. Pupils had to read six book in the summer holidays to qualify for lots of goodies. More than two dozen children took part in a medal ceremony for all the kids that had completed the challenge.

There were craft activities for the participants, as well as Poetry on Demand, typed out on an olde fashioned typewriter - as well as juice and cookies - before they all took their seats for the ceremony. Each child's name was read out and they received a certificate and a medal.

Well done to every child that completed the challenge, and we'll see you back in the library real soon!
