Update: Deadline extended for WCL Trustee/ Management Committee nominations! If you are interested in becoming a WCL Trustee or joining us on the Management Committee, contact us at email@example.com or ask at the library counter for nomination forms. Deadline is extended until Saturday 8th October for completed nomination forms to be considered at the AGM. You can download the nomination forms here
The Annual General Meeting of the Walkley Carnegie Library (WCL) registered charity will be held on TUESDAY 11TH OCTOBER at 7.30pm in Walkley Library. The Chair, Secretary and Treasurer (Chris, Nicola and Matthew) will report on the progress of WCL since the last Annual General Meeting (13th October 2015) and we’ll have a brief update from the Volunteering, Library and Events teams. Please see agenda attached.
In compliance with our Constitution, two Trustees will be standing down – Chris, our Chair and Matthew, our Treasurer. We currently have five Trustees now which is actually fewer than we had last year. We would particularly welcome a Trustee to take on the post of Treasurer – now or in the future (e.g. to help new Trustees, we can arrange a period of up to a year of shadowing existing Trustees).
If you are interested in becoming a Trustee or a Management Committee member, email Nicola on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nomination forms for the Trustee and Main Committee positions must be received by us by Saturday 1st October to be considered at the AGM. Please use the attached nominations form and drop them in to the Library counter or email yours to info@walkleylibrary,org.uk. As a member or interested supporter of Walkley Carnegie Library (WCL), you will be able to vote on all of these appointments at the AGM.
If you would like any matters for discussion to be added to the ‘Any Other Business’ section of the meeting, please contact Nicola on email@example.com.
After the official business of the AGM, we are thrilled to have the unveiling of the poem 'Like Rain on Fresh Ground' at the Library. The creation of the poem was led by Fay Musselwhite as part of the 'Line at a Time’ event this summer. The poem has been ‘made’ by visual artist Sarah Lewis. Together with Ruth Nutter of Ruskin in Sheffield and the Year of Making, the three will speak about the project. There will be refreshments to celebrate the unveiling!!
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please let us know by return if you are unable to attend and if you require a proxy or postal vote.

You can also find all of this in the Library behind the counter. The Chair’s report and Treasurer’s report will be made available shortly.
We look forward to seeing you at the AGM.
