Christmas events at the Library

Who doesn't love a good game on a cold night?

Leave the kids at home and come for a trip down memory lane with our traditional and childhood Games Night.

Refreshments provided, all donations gratefully accepted for the upkeep of the library and to fund future events.

Games Night this Friday 9th December from 7.30pm. Please note this is an adult only event.

See you there!

Why buy that expensive season's wreath you saw at the store the other day? If you could make one yourself, it'd be prettier and it would have all the love and care you could put on it. So...we’ll be making a beautiful willow wreath to decorate your home this Christmas. Come along and get creative, all materials provided. Sign up at the counter or email . Also we will have the traditional Christmas Treasure Hunt - find 10 xmas puddings hidden round the library, write the word that is under each one on your answer sheet, and bring to the counter to choose a little prize!

Are you a book lover? Would you like to share your favourite readings with other users, who may need inspiration? There is the Christmas Random Book Club on Monday 12th December from 7pm. Bring along your favourite Christmas-themed book you have read to share and recommend to others. Whether it's a classic children's story, or something a bit more modern and grown-up, come along and tell us all about it. Suggested donation of £5 for festive refreshments.

If you haven't got into the Christmas spirit by 17 December, we have one more little extra for you :) It is no secret that we love mince pies and singing, so we organised Mince Pie and Carols on Saturday 17th December at 10am - 1pm.

There will be mince pies, refreshments and carols to get you in the festive mood. And our very own volunteers will be leading the carols at 11am and 12pm. We will be delighted to see you at the library!
