Ben Johnson, the author of "Charlie Peace: Murder, Mayhem and the Master of Disguise", is visiting the library to talk about his new book: Digging in the dark: a history of the Yorkshire resurrectionists.
The brand new title is a "grim compendium of tales" that span over three centuries in the county of Yorkshire, "the resurrection men of Yorkshire came from all walks of life, and employed a myriad of macabre methods to raise their defenceless prey from beneath the consecrated ground. This was a trade which offered great reward, but was definitely not for the faint of heart." (source: Amazon).
We think it will be a very interesting evening and we would be delighted if you joined us.
