Please come and join us for our Annual General Meeting and for an update on what has been happening in the Library over the last year and what the future holds. We’ll have updates about the two funded projects happening at the moment!
In compliance with our Constitution, two Trustees will be standing down – Matthew Gilbert (Treasurer) and Nicola Dempsey (Secretary). We are on the look-out for new Trustees and Main Committee members. We would particularly welcome a Trustee to take on the post of Treasurer in the future (with a period of time of shadowing Matthew, of course!).
WCL and other Libraries see the importance of succession and we do need new people coming forward at this exciting time of change. If you want to find out more about what being a Trustee means in practice, please contact email@example.com and Nicola will get back to you. We are particularly keen to get applications not only from volunteers but also library customers, local residents and business operators.
If you are interested in becoming a Trustee or Management Committee member, email Nicola Dempsey via firstname.lastname@example.org
Please get nomination forms for the Trustee and Main Committee positions to us by Monday 15th October to be considered at the AGM. Nominations forms can be found behind the counter at the Library or contact email@example.com for an electronic copy.
To minimise the number of attachments in this email, you can find a copy of the WCL Constitution, along with minutes from previous Committee meetings as well as nomination forms here.
After the official business of the AGM, we will have presentations about our ongoing funded projects. First, Anita Hollinsend and Pete Brown will update us on the progress of the Heritage Lottery-funded project. Then Ruth Nutter and Annie Bore will take us through the Seeing Beauty Inspiring Minds funded by the Arts Council.
Do come along! There will be refreshments for the presentations
Please RSVP at the Library or to firstname.lastname@example.org
Hope to see you there!
