Pete Brown has joined the Heritage Lottery Fund project, as Training and Learning consultant, to develop an Activity Plan as part of the bid for funding which will go in at the beginning of March 2019. Pete has worked for over 20 years in the heritage sector, helping to make museums, galleries and other cultural attractions accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all ages and abilities.
He has been involved in several Heritage Lottery Fund projects, including creating the Activity Plan for a £1.6 million gallery redevelopment project at Manchester Museum and developing the Activity Statement for a £850,000 Townscape Heritage Initiative in Mansfield. He has worked in Sheffield before, leading a £100,000 learning and community participation project at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet (part of a £1 million HLF project that included building a new Learning Centre and restoring water-powered machinery). His role in the Walkley Library project is to involve local people in developing a programme of public activities that will support our application for Heritage Lottery funding.
