Join us at Walkley Library over the festive season - the more the merrier! We are using the Christmas and New Year season while the library is closed to undertake a stock take at Walkley Library. It's a big task and we're going to need a lot of people to help us!
We're asking people in Walkley and beyond to support this community venture over the festive season and use some of their spare time to give back to their community. We need people to sign up for a morning or afternoon to come and help move, sort and put stickers on all the books in the library. We plan to make it a fun and sociable activity. Festive refreshments will be provided - you're welcome to bring any uneaten goodies to share!
We are asking people to sign up for slots on:
Fri 28th and Sat 29th December
Wed 2nd, Thu 3rd, Fri 4th, Sat 5th and Sun 6th January
There will be two sessions a day from 9.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4.30pm.
Sign up here: https://festivestocktake.eventbrite.co.uk
You can book places for friends and family, or forward this email to anyone you think might be able to help out. All willing workers over 11 years old are welcome - the more the merrier! We need a maximum number of 20 helpers for each session until the task is completed. You're very welcome to stay for the whole day and bring lunch. Places in each session are limited by our ability to seat everyone and work effectively, so please make sure you book a place for everyone you are bringing with you and let us know if anything changes. All the work will be organised by volunteers who will explain what needs doing. We're sorry, but we can't accommodate children under 11 as there will be a lot of movement in the library and it wouldn't be safe for them. If you have any questions please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to meeting you all, and in the meantime, wish you all a very happy Christmas. Walkley Carnegie Library team
