We’re delighted to be joined by Sheffield-based novelist Molly Aitken.

Molly will be talking about her novel Bright I Burn, the story of the first woman to be condemned as a witch in Ireland - a woman who dared to carve her own space in a man’s world.

Bright I Burn was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Literature’s Encore Prize and was a BBC Best Book of 2024. Molly’s debut novel, The Island Child, was critically acclaimed and her short stories have been widely published.

Molly will be signing copies of Bright I Burn, and the Library will also have a copy

available to borrow.
